Replacing your missing tooth
A dental implant is a replacement tooth your dentist will custom-make for you. This starts with a titanium post that serves as the tooth’s “root.”

Placing the implant
First, your dentist will surgically insert the titanium post into your jaw bone. You may also get a temporary crown during the healing time.

The healing process
Because the jaw bone grows around the implant, this new tooth will be very secure. You will then get a permanent crown that blends in colour and shape with your other teeth. Your new tooth will look and function just like a normal tooth!
